Senior Full Stack Engineer / Technical Lead

Summary

The Full Stack Engineer (Senior / Technical Lead) at Jaycon Systems LLC is responsible for leading the technical direction, architecture, and development of full-stack software solutions, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to oversee development standards, coordinate feature delivery, improve engineering workflows, and translate business requirements into technical solutions. The position requires both hands-on software development expertise and strong technical leadership to support ongoing product growth and operational excellence

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Architecture
2. Provide technical direction and architectural guidance for software development projects.
3. Design and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable system architecture.
4. Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and technical documentation.
5. Full Stack Development
6. Develop, maintain, and optimize frontend and backend applications using modern full-stack technologies.
7. Ensure high application performance, responsiveness, and reliability.
8. Support integrations between frontend systems, backend services, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
9. Feature Planning & Implementation
10. Translate business requirements into technical requirements, development tasks, and implementation plans.
11. Coordinate feature development efforts across multiple developers.
12. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product enhancements and new functionalities.
13. Code Quality & Development Standards
14. Oversee code reviews and maintain software quality standards.
15. Promote best practices for testing, version control, and software maintainability.
16. Ensure consistency in development methodologies and documentation.
17. Deployment, Security & Infrastructure Oversight
18. Maintain and improve deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, and cloud infrastructure.
19. Monitor and improve system security practices and compliance with internal standards.
20. Support system stability, scalability, and operational reliability.
21. Developer Support & Workflow Optimization
22. Mentor and support engineering team members by providing technical guidance and removing blockers.
23. Improve development workflows and team productivity.
24. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
25. Cross-Functional Collaboration
26. Partner with stakeholders, product teams, and leadership to align technical execution with business priorities.
27. Participate in planning, prioritization, and technical decision-making processes.
28. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
29. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering efficiency.
30. Identify opportunities for process improvements and technical enhancements.

Necessary Skills & Knowledge

1. Advanced knowledge of full stack development principles and software architecture.
2. Strong proficiency in React, Node.js/Express, MongoDB, and AWS infrastructure.
3. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and GitLab workflows.
4. Knowledge of software security practices, code review processes, and engineering standards.
5. Experience with system design, scalable architecture, and performance optimization.
6. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Experience with AI-assisted software development workflows and engineering tools.
8. Strong project coordination, communication, and technical leadership abilities.
9. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and execution plans.
10. Strong collaboration and mentoring capabilities within engineering teams.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
2. Minimum 5+ years of full stack software development experience.
3. Prior experience in a technical leadership or team lead role.
4. Demonstrated experience with React, Node.js/Express, MongoDB, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and GitLab.
5. Experience overseeing software deployments, development standards, and security practices.
6. Proven ability to coordinate development efforts and unblock technical challenges.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
8. Experience working in a remote and collaborative environment preferred.
9. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
